Focussing on the Big Picture

Navigating the Medicaid system is extremely complicated and bureaucratic. It's hard to even learn what services are out there and harder still to obtain them. And even when you are able to obtain them, a multitude of obstacles and problems remain. There are advocates out there who focus on the minutiae, helping disabled individuals families to get the help they are entitled to. While this is very important with the present system being as it is, we are more interested in fostering a revolution in the way these services are provided so that no one needs to make it their full-time job or become an expert to get the help they need. We are interested in using the media, public opinion and pressure tactics to highlight some of the more flagrantly absurd situations that arise, in order to promote positive change so that disabled individuals and their families can spend more time being productive citizens and less time navigating through a sea of red tape.
