Here's my testimony before the NYS Budget Forum Manhattan on March 3, 2019. I got there late, after the Bernie Sanders rally in Brooklyn, but they let me speak as the third to last speaker. My testimony is a little scattershot since I only had two minutes but I think I got my point across. CDPAP is the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program that Gov. Andrew Cuomo's new budget threatens to do away with. Many of the people before me spoke on it, so I tried to take the discussion a little further. I didn't mean to say caregiving is the future _ though it is _ I meant to say consumer directed program were the future.
